The Management
The Office of the District Chief Executive is at the apex of the district administration and chairs the Executive Committee. The DCE also serves as the political and administrative head of the District. The
next level comprises the five statutory committees of the Executive committee which includes: Development planning; Finance and administration; Social service; Works; Justice and security. Agric, Mining and Environment sub committee and Education oversight committee are adhoc committees that
have been formed by the Assembly. The District Co-ordinating director is the secretary to the General Assembly and he is supported by other technical and professional staff. The District assembly also
works closely with the departments and agencies to ensure development. These departments include:
Central administration; Finance; Forestry; Nadmo; Department of Education, Youth and Sports;
Health; Department of Agriculture; Social Welfare and Community Development; Trade and industry
(BAC); Works; Physical planning.
The Assembly has a total mechanized staff of 51 and 12 non mechanized staff.
