Today, the District Chief Executive; Honourable Benjamin Marfo handed over 800 pieces of dual desks to the District Education Directorate to be distributed to schools with inadequate desks through their Assembly Members. The DCE during the presentation assured the Assembly Members and the Education Director his commitment and vision to boost education in the district by continually supporting schools with needed teaching and learning materials.
The Amansie South District was carved out of the then Amansie West District in 2018. The District was established by LI 2325. The District shares common boundaries with Amansie West to the North, Atwima Nwabiagya and Atwima Mponua to the East, Amansie Central and Obuasi Municipal to the West, and Upper Denkyira to the South.
