The Amansie South District led by Honourable Clement Opoku Gyamfi Esq today 6th March, 2024 conducted its 67th National Independence Day Parade at Manso Adubia SHS park in a grand style.
In attendance were the District Coordinating Director, Presiding Member, Nananom, Education Director, and the District Police Commander. The District Director of Health, the District Immigration Commander, Fire Commander, Agric Director, the Headmaster of Adubia SHS, and all the various institutional and departmental heads.
Honourable Clement Opoku Gyamfi Esq in his speech commended all the participated schools for their wonderful display of patriotism and love for mother Ghana. A minute silent was observed for the late John Kwabena Boateng, a driver of Amansie South District Assembly who lost his life on Thursday, 29th February, 2024 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and also recognized 84 year old triplets who have contributed immensely towards the district’s development.
Hon. DCE emphasized that this is the era of hope, optimism and democracy. We must all promote respect for individual, development and rule of law where the pride of been a Ghanaian would be felt. As custodians of democracy in our district, we must strive hard to partake in our democratic processes particularly during elections and bring development and the political stability we seek.
Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi Esq also entreated those who have attained 18 years to get registered when the Electoral Commission opens registration on order to exercise their franchise in the upcoming general elections.
