The inaugural meeting of the third General Assembly of the Amansie South District Assembly was held at the District Assembly’s conference room today, 12th February, 2024.
In all, twenty-six (26) elected members with their unit committee members , and twelve (12) appointees were sworn in by the District Magistrate; H/W Sam Nibi Medjida.
Honourable Clement Opoku Gyamfi Esq in his welcome address congratulated the assembly members and charged them to put the interest of their communities and the District first.
Chief Director I.K Acheampong also delivered the President’s welcome address on behalf of the President.
Later, the elections for the Presiding member was supervised by the District Electoral officer. Honourable Samuel Amponsah won and has been maintained as the Presiding member.
