The Amansie South District 6th edition of the 39th Farmers’ Day celebration was held yesterday 2nd December, 2023 at Manso-Ayirebikrom under the theme “Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience.”
The District Chief Executive; Honourable Clement Opoku Gyamfi Esq speaking at the event stressed on the need for everyone especially the Youth to see farming as a lucrative job and must enter into farming using modern methods and technologies. He pledged the District’s unflinching support for farmers.
In all, 24 farmers were awarded with certificates, tricycles, refrigerators, knapsack sprayers, weedicides and cutlasses under various categories. Mr. Maxwell Osei Yeboah, a native of Manso Keniago was crowned the overall best farmer for 2023.
